About PDS Pole Barns.
PDS Pole Barns is a dedicated division of PDS Carpentry Inc., building custom and pre-designed post-frame barns, garages and workshops across Central Ontario.
The division draws on owner Paul Steel’s 20+ years of carpentry and framing experience. From our base in Blackstock, we coordinate planning, permits, site preparation and construction within a clear scope, with experienced supervision, WSIB coverage and $5 million liability insurance.

Yes. We can coordinate the design and permit process so you are not left managing several separate companies.
Do you build more than agricultural barns?
Yes. We build garages, workshops, equipment storage, hobby barns and other post-frame buildings for rural, residential and agricultural properties.
Can I customize a standard package?
Absolutely. Door locations, windows, wall height, roof style, exterior finishes, porches, lofts and interior options can be adapted to your needs.
What foundation systems do you use?
The right foundation depends on the building, site and permit requirements. Options can include helical piles, embedded posts or concrete systems where appropriate.
